3. United States On the Road
Imagine traveling the iconic American roads aboard a van and working from incredible places. Well, we have fantastic news for you: the United States in a van is the perfect choice for digital nomads! Get ready to embark on an unforgettable adventure, exploring the wonders of this vast country while keeping your work activities in full swing.
In our last trip, we decided to embark on a four-wheeled adventure from Chicago to Los Angeles aboard our camper. Thanks to the van, we had the freedom to choose the most beautiful and scenic places to work. It was an unforgettable journey, but don’t think it was always easy! Finding a stable internet connection was a real mission! Yes, because as digital nomads, connectivity is our daily bread. However, when traveling on remote and untouched roads, the Wi-Fi signal can play tricks on you!
But in the end, with a little patience, we were always able to find places with stunning landscapes and a more than decent connection to work. (If you’re looking for a plan B, we recommend supermarket parking lots or restaurant chains as they often provide good Wi-Fi access.)
We moved from one gas station to another, sometimes even leaning out the window to find the best signal. How did we handle the situation? The answer is simple: adaptability, a touch of madness, and a lot of determination. It was a true adventure, but it was absolutely worth it! During our journey, we crossed breathtaking landscapes, met incredible people, and created unforgettable memories along Route 66.
Whether you prefer a golden beach in California or a vibrant city like New York, the United States offers endless possibilities to enjoy your work in dream-like settings.
4 Cambodia – The Exotic Charm Of Southeast Asia
If you’re looking for a destination that will enchant you with its exotic beauty and unique atmosphere, then Cambodia is the perfect place for you. This fascinating country in Southeast Asia welcomed us with open arms, offering a perfect combination of culture, nature, and fantastic work opportunities.
One of the gems that captivated us in Cambodia was Angkor Wat, the majestic temple complex that left us in awe. Just imagine working in the shade of these ancient treasures, spending your days among the grand ruins and letting inspiration flow as you immerse yourself in the history and spirituality of the place.
But Cambodia is not just temples and history. Its breathtaking beaches, like those in Sihanoukville, will invite you to relax under the tropical sun and work with your feet in the sand. Imagine taking a break from work, taking a swim in the crystal-clear waters, and admiring the spectacular views that surround you.
And when it comes to experiencing the bustling nightlife, Phnom Penh is ready to welcome you with its vibrant nightlife venues, trendy restaurants, and opportunities to socialize with other digital nomads from around the world.

5 Canary Islands On the Road

One of the must-visit stops is Fuerteventura, an island that has captured our hearts and those of many digital nomads who have decided to move there full-time. This is not surprising considering the beauty of Fuerteventura, with its golden sandy beaches, crystal-clear waters, and breathtaking landscapes. We would wake up in the morning surrounded by untouched nature, open the doors of our van, and start the day with a spectacular view of the ocean.
Another gem of the Canary Islands is Lanzarote, an island rich in unique volcanic landscapes. This captivating place offers surreal scenery that seems to come from another planet. You can explore Timanfaya National Park, with its vast stretches of solidified lava and still-active volcanoes, or visit the spectacular Cueva de los Verdes, a complex of underground caves formed by ancient volcanic eruptions.
In addition to the natural wonders, both islands also offer good internet connectivity and suitable infrastructure for digital nomads.
